SOUTHLAND WIDE CLUB HOCKEY

DIVISION ONE

This division is played in both men's and women's hockey.

11 a-side full turf games

4 x 17 minute quarters

Played on a Friday night between 6pm and 9.30pm

This grade is played at both the Invercargill and Gore turfs

DIVISION TWO

Played in both men's and women's hockey.

11 a-side full turf games.

4 x 17 minute quarters

Men's division 2 is played on a Sunday afternoon at either Invercargill or Gore turf

Women's division 2 is played on a Saturday afternoon at both the Invercargill or Gore turfs

Appropriately skilled year 10 players may play in this grade

DIVISION THREE 

Played as a mixed grade, for Year 9 and 10 players (this grade is compulsory for Year 9 club players)

11 a-side full turf games.

4 x 15 minute quarters 

Games will be on a Sunday at both the Invercargill or Gore turfs

DIVISION FOUR 

Played as a mixed grade for Year 7 & 8 aged players.

6 a-side half turf games.

20 minute halves with 5 minute half time.

Games will be played on a Sunday morning at both the Invercargill or Gore turfs

Players based in Eastern Southland will be organised into teams by the association junior committee

Players based in Invercargill should approach a club to join a team (please see the Join a Club page on the About Us tab)

Year 1 to 6 aged players

These grades are played at a local level and there is no travelling away from your home turf.

Invercargill

Players based in Invercargill should approach their school to join a team.

Years 1 to 6 play on a Wednesday night 3.45pm - 7pm

Gore

Players based in Eastern Southland should approach the Eastern Southland hockey association to join a team.
